It was an absolute pleasure to return to Camp Create at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center this summer and create artwork that is now on display in Downtown and Over-the-Rhine. In honor of the World Choir Games and our wonderful city of Cincinnati, campers participated in ArtWorks Big Pig Gig and created Pigassos Serenade. Inspired by the paintings of Pablo Picasso and French cubists painter Juan Gris Kennedy Heights artists/campers Amaya Boyd, Freddie Cocheron, LJ Hogue, Kaitlyne Jones, Colin Kelly, Will Kelly,Bess Lindeman, Henry Lindeman, Shamia Mills,Maite Muianga, Paige Murphey, Alexandra O’Malley, Brendel Stadler, D.A.A.P intern Bryn Sharp and myself had one hog of a time painting Pigcassos Serenade. In addition to our monument to Porkopolis students also created musically inspired paintings influenced by my work and the work of Picasso and Gris. These painting are now on exhibit on the 2nd floor of Tower Place Mall and Pigcasso Serenade in currently on display in the new Washington Park in Over–the-Rhine. Thank you campers for such a memorable time.
